Hong Kong Tourist Visa - Document Requirements

FOR ALL APPLICANTS

• Applicant’s valid travel document containing personal particulars, date of issue, date of expiry and/or details of any re-entry visa held (if applicable)

• Applicant’s recent photograph

• Proof of the applicant's financial standing, e.g. bank statements, savings accounts passbooks, tax receipts, etc. and proof of employment (if any), e.g. company leave letter, salary slips, etc.

• Proof of transportation arrangement, e.g. flight itinerary for flying into, and out of Hong Kong

• For Holiday Visit: Proof of the proposed leisure visit to Hong Kong, e.g. receipt of joining a package tour to Hong Kong, itinerary, Hotel Confirmation, etc.

• For Transit Only: Proof of the proposed visit in the next destination after visiting Hong Kong, itinerary, etc.

• For Business-Related Visit: Proof of the proposed business visit to Hong Kong, e.g. letter issued by the applicant's employing company to confirm his/her proposed business activities in Hong Kong, invitation letter issued by a local company, letter issued by a trade body to confirm the applicant's attendance at trade fairs and exhibitions, etc.

• For Family Visit: Proof of relationship with the local sponsor (for family visit), accommodation arrangements, financial support (if any)

• Other Reasons for Visit: Proof of the proposed visit to Hong Kong

• Other supporting documents

FOR SPONSORS ONLY:

• Company chop (for applications in which the sponsor is a company)

• Business Registration Certificate (for applications in which the sponsor is a company)

• Hong Kong identity card and/or travel document (pages showing personal particulars, latest condition and limit of stay/landing slip and any amendments made, such as those relating to personal particulars or document validity) and/or latest “e-Visa” (if applicable) [for non-permanent resident of the HKSAR only] (for applications in which the sponsor is an individual)
• Other supporting documents

ACCEPTABLE FILES

• File type: JPEG, PDF, GIF, PNG or TIF (RAW, LZW, JPEG, CCITT-G4)
• File size: Maximum 5Mb per file
• Grayscale (for documents without photos) and Colour (for documents with photos)
